Daddies own Landyachtz rider Katie Neilson hit us up with a little preview of the boards she is most excited to ride this season. Take a little tour around the factory and hear what she has to say about her favorites in the 2013 Landyachtz Longboards line up.
A few months back the girls packed their bags into a van and made things happen between Los Angeles and the first ever Maryhill Ladies Only Freeride. West Coastin’ is almost ready for release!!!!!! This Friday night is the release of the first episode… October 26th!
The Pro team headed south last weekend to Bogota, Colombia where Alex Tongue, Marisa Nuñez and Katie Neilson competed in the IGSA World Cup event, Festival De La Bajada. The sun was out most of the weekend and so was the rain, but that didn’t stop the team from killing it and having a good time. Alex started off strong with an impressive 2nd place qualifying time in Mens behind Landyachtz’s Dillon Stephens and Marisa skated her butt off all day to earn the fastest time in the women’s. Deciding to skip qualifying and head out with Colombian Skateboard Magazine Ocho Shortys, Katie Neilson spent the day getting to know local street skaters and shooting an article that blended all things street and Downhill.
When race day rolled around, it was the Daddies Board Shop Girls Clinic’s poster girl who would walk away with a win on the womens side, and Alex placed an impressive consi position after skating a race track that pretty much became a lake sometime around the Semi Finals.
Good Luck to Alex and Marisa who are continuing on to Argentina next week!
Well, Daddies Team Rider Katie Neilson is about to pack her bags and put an end to almost 4 months in Colombia, but not without making sure this beauty of a board made it to the right hands first. Appears to have been an easy match; we like the way Daddies looks on Jenny.
Well, she’s back at it again folks! This weekend Daddies Board Shop Team rider Katie Neilson set up a brand new Switchblade 36 with Precision Grizzlies and Biggie Hawgs, showed up to a race in the middle of Colombia and dominated the field going home with a 1st in Women’s and a 6th in mens out of a 96 rider bracket, putting a serious end to her 8 month recovery from knee surgery without skateboarding.
make sure you hit up Katie’s Instagram account ‘Kateslynne’ for a constant, behind the scenes look practise days, race days and other skateboard related travels around the world!!!
