Hey there everyone… check out Shop employee Spencer Morgan Knuttila scooting around on his Penny Nickel! These things are insanely fun! It is 27 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, comes with 4 inch trucks and super smooth 59mm 78a wheels. These things are perfect for cruising around with friends, going to the store, chillin’ in a park, or just all around doing your thang! The Penny Nickel is just big enough to pull off some fun tricks and handle a bit bigger hills! You won’t regret picking one of these puppies up!
Check out some of the photos from Spencer’s Instagram of him playing around on his Penny Nickel! It is a retro type board so we figured retro type images would suit it best!
This is how our day started out as we got off of work. We had a little session in the parking lot. Anthony has some springs on him so he popped over this trash can pretty easy, he is like a foot over it. Having some standard skating abilities are a must if you want to work here at Daddies. Anthony has some good work ethic and skates well as well so we’re stoked on him.
Anthony over the rail!
You check out those wheels? 78a softies! the Satori Brent Atchley P-Town Players… lord knows portland does not have the best streets, its nice to have a smooth rolling set for when you are just mashing around down or if you aren’t in the parks.
Anthony staying as far away from the rail as possible
Same trick, slightly different shot!
Tony B - Feeble
Well, it wasn’t a land but it is still awesome! We’ve found ourselves an awesome new staff member! Stoked for more photo shoots with Anthony!
You should probably be watching this cause Levi Green straight up SHREDS. He is officially on Abec 11‘s Green Team now. He is also getting the hook up from Rayne Longboards and you can see him rocking the RayneVandal . I would say that Levi is straight hooked up. He is also rocking Abec 11Biltin bearings and Riptide bushings, which have been making quite a name for themselves lately. Gotta give those a look see.
Pampita… you keep on impressing me and I am sure everyone else as well! I remember it was almost 2 years ago when I found your photography and wanted to do a write up about you on the blog. Back then you were just starting to get more and more into longboarding… I can still remember all your orders! In no time at all you have turned into a gnarly skater that can threaten the boys on the hill! You have all the skills to make you a prize for any team to have; you skate good, you learn fast, you make rad videos, and you are insanely artistic. Pam, you rock so Im putting you back up on our blog!
For any of you who don’t know… Pam is a 22 year old shredder from the Dominican Republic. She has helped take their small but passionate scene down there and put it on the map. She has already become an Ambassador for “The Longboard Girls Crew,” as well as a team rider for Comet Skateboards. Check out her longboard website, “Long Life, Long Livin‘,” in your spare time. It is full of photographs and videos, its basically all in spanish (conversations) but skating is a universal language all in its own!
Pam has really only just stepped onto the scene and she is making a dent everywhere she goes. You best believe that there is a bright future out there for Pam… she is going to get BIG… I called it a while ago and I am sticking to it. You just wait and see! Good job Pam! Keep killing it! XD
So there is this weird girl band sensation in Japan, there is still a boy band one too but this group in particular kind of took it to another level. Their name is AKB48 and there are 48 members of the group. These are just some of the main and more popular ones. Funny thing is all the girls in the group are around the age or 13 or 14, with the exception of a few “leaders” who are a bit older… and by older I only mean “of age,” so they are still only like 18 or so. These ones up here are some of the “leaders.”
Im surprised that longboarding hasn’t blown up a bit more over there, considering all the hills. I lived over there for quite a while and I got my brother in-law doing some downhill. Stay posted to the blog guys cause I am heading back pretty soon for a trip. I will be posting all sorts of sick photos!
I doubt I will be running into AKB 48 with all their skate gear but if I do I will be sure to get some more photos for all your viewing pleasure.
Wanna know another funny thing? My older brother in-law has been to one of these girls concerts before. But thats really not surprising because the majority of their fan base is guys from the ages of 18 – 25 or so, I wonder why???
