Ever wonder what it is like to work at Daddies Board Shop? Well, there is more behind the scenes action than anything else but occasionally we get to have ourselves a little fun. One way we do that is by heading out to our parking lot. Pretty much every day after work we all go out and skate. We have boxes, banks, and a bunch of great curbs for slappies.

We pretty much build all of our stuff from shipping crates and whatnot that we get from all of our manufacturers. When I say we I mean our warehouse manager Tony B builds it, the dude is crazy. It is pretty cool actually… he takes shipping palettes and turns them into skate features. Kind of baffling really.

So working at Daddies does end up being pretty rad. We can’t exactly leave during the day to go hit up hills so we have to make due with what we got around us and I think we do that pretty well. The word “unfortunately” doesn’t really apply when we say we can’t go out and skate hills. Because fortunately we are getting to stoke out kids across the globe by making sure they all their their gear they ordered. It’s rough stuff but it is a labor of love!

Well it is official folks; we put Pammy on our pro team! She has been shredding so hard over the past couple years and deserves this. Thank you to all her sponsors. Abec 11, Caliber Trucks, Comet Skateboards; you guys are helping her live out her dream! Congrats Pam Díaz, you’re doing it!
Dakota Gnarnia McDaniels doing a proper toeside! We jacked this from your facebook homie!
And here is a pretty important one for Joao Reis…. Waka Flocka Flame doing some taxes. Doing taxes so gangster he opened up his own financial solutions firm. All the real G’s go here to stack their cheese.
Waka Flocka Financial Solutions! He does your taxes for you!
Keep the requests coming dudes, just hit us up on our facebook and let us know what you want to see! I bet Joao didnt think we could make this one happen with Waka Flocka doing taxes, but we got magic hands that can do magic things with computers! This round was a bit more whacky but the downhill post was a request as well. We are totally down for some more serious stuff too! If you absolutely need to know something about ANYTHING just let us know and we will answer your call! hahahaha we do love these funny ones though as well.
So Pete and Jeffrey that work here get into all sorts of shenanigans! Sometimes it is on a board, sometimes it is off a board! Their footy got compiled together and we made this fun little edit of them goofing off! In this edit they do some bombing and free riding on Mt. Tabor here in Portland, Oregon as well as get some park skating in at the Brooklyn Street DIY skate park!
After months of grueling work the Mavet has finally arrived! It is the love-child of Daddies Board Shop and Landyachtz. We have been really wanting to dabble in the versatility of the switchblade cause we love the shape! The Mavet has the awesome pockets and shape that the switchblade normally comes with but it has the added grip of a topmount! It is also pretty cool because there are no other topmounted switchblades out there!
For the Mavet we wanted to go with the 36 incher because it was a newer size but also because it is really versatile. Boards are getting smaller and smaller as riders progress so the 36 just made sense. It is small enough to be a fun and nimble little city smasher but can also hold it’s own freeriding and doing downhill. And there is just enough space on the nose and tail to help you get off curbs and such! We think that the Mavet is the bees-knees!
The Mavet, just out in the wild… creeping while you’re sleeping.
The Mavet is part of a super limited run! We only made 100 so get them while they last! Hopefully this inspires Landyachtz to make more topmount switchblades because we have already found out how freaking fun this board is!!! To everyone who gets a hand on one of these guys… we hope you have as much fun on it as we do!
So I met this little homie a while back up at a Rayne Slide Jam in Vancouver BC. I was chatting with his dad for a bit while I was shooting some pictures. In fact… I think I still have some pics of him! He was definitely killing it back then and killing it even harder now!

The Landyachtz EH TEAM and DADDIES BOARD SHOP rider Katie Neilson is on the road doing an East Coast Tour of college campus’s between New York and Florida, making stops everywhere including Chapel Hill, North Carolina where there were sightings of little rippers in Orange all day. In a contest where style is key, its no suprise that the daddies rider went home with best trick for a double grabbed stalefish with an early grab out at the end.
Written by the goddess Skatie Katie herself! Thanks Ms. Neilson!
Straight up getting buck on some slides!
Fancy slide Jimmy Jam! These dudes look good, but not as good at DBS Team rider Katie Neilson! OWWWWW!
Thanks for the photos Katie!
